Renvert S., Giovannoli J.-L. Peri-implantitis // This book is the result of collaboration between two outstanding periodontists, each of whom has done a lot to improve the quality of periodontal treatment in Europe. For the past 20 years, Jean-Louis Giovannoli and Stefan Renvert have been actively working in the European Federation of Periodontology and have together organized several EuroPerio congresses. Both authors have extensive clinical experience in the field of periodontology and implantology. Interestingly, Stefan Renvert from Sweden and Jean-Louis Giovannoli from France received their periodontal education in the United States, but Stefan dedicated his professional life to research and teaching, while Jean-Louis preferred private periodontal practice. Currently, Stefan Renvert is a professor and head of dental research at Kristianstad University (Sweden), as well as a visiting professor at the Dental Clinic of Trinity College Dublin (Ireland) and the Polytechnic Institute in Blekinge (Karlskrona, Sweden). He has published over 150 articles in leading international dental journals. Stefan's main area of scientific interest is the diagnosis and treatment of tissues surrounding dental implants. Jean-Louis Giovannoli runs a private dental practice in Paris (France) specializing in periodontology and implantology. He is also the chief editor of the journal Titane (Quintessence). Jean-Louis was one of the first to deeply study the issue of infectious tissue damage surrounding implants, thus possessing unique experience in treating peri-implantitis. When the authors of this book first started lecturing on tissue infections around implants, they faced significant skepticism from their colleagues. However, over time, the issue of peri-implantitis has garnered increasing interest, and its relevance today is beyond doubt. In this book, Jean-Louis and Stefan generously share their knowledge in the diagnosis and treatment of biological complications in implantology, which are increasingly encountered in dental practice. The product is carefully packaged in a cardboard box to protect it from mechanical damage.
