The book sets out the anatomy of the thoracic duct and the physiology of the outflow of the Hilus.
Modern methods for diagnosing the state of the breast duct, in particular, lymphography are described in detail. The main symptom complexes associated with Hilorness are presented: Hilotorax, Hilopericard, Hiloperitoneum, their etiology, clinic and treatment methods. Much attention is paid to injuries of the thoracic duct, including operational damage to the duct, including children, and more rare types of its pathology - tumors, lymphangiectasia, lymphangiomatosis. Expanded sections of treatment of postoperative chilotorax, parenteral nutrition. Operational access to the cervical and thoracic parts of the breast duct and the most frequent operations during pathology are considered - dressing and resection, catheterization of the chest duct and the imposition of anastomosis between the chest duct and the vein.
