The textbook "Pathological Physiology" was written by a team of authors, teachers of the Department of General Pathology and Pathological Physiology of the Medical Institute of RUDN, under the general editorship of the Honored Worker of Science of the Russian Federation, Professor Viktor Alekseevich Frolov. All authors are large scientists in the field of pathological physiology, the results of their scientific activity were reflected in previous publications of the textbook on pathophysiology. This textbook is written in a traditional style with the presentation of the issues of general pathophysiology, and then - pathophysiology of organs and tissues (issues of private pathophysiology) When reading the textbook, the clarity and ease of presentation of even the most difficult and complex sections of the pathology attracts attention. The presentation of the material is also characterized by sufficient depth with the preservation of clarity and accessibility of understanding the topic. A feature of this textbook is the presence of sections that are practically absent in the textbooks on the pathophysiology of other authors: “AIDS "," Chronopathology "," Pathogenesis of drug addictions "," Pathophysiology of lymph circulation "," Pathophysiology of purine metabolism (gout), "diseases of civilization". The section "pathophysiological foundations of homeopathy" is unique. Given the increasing use of homeopathy preparations in modern medicine, the presentation of this section seems quite relevant and useful. The textbook is well illustrated by clear and understandable drawings (including color), schemes and tables, at the end of each chapter control issues are given. The textbook is designed for students of medical, dental and pharmaceutical higher educational institutions.
