The book of the famous Leningrad writer and sailor Viktor Konetskoy included stories about the naval service, people of the besieged Leningrad, written in the 1950s and 1960s of the twentieth century. They have many naval romance, memories and reflection on the life of the workers of the sea, their difficult work in isolation from their homeland, home, family. Many of these works served as the basis for the film adaptation, in particular the "path to the pier" (in the main roles: Boris Andreev, Alexander Metelkin, Oleg Zhakov, director George Danelia)
