The works of the great Russian psychologist Lev Semenovich Vygotsky (1896-1934) have long been recognized as scientific classics, translated into dozens of languages of the world, but many of his works still remain inaccessible to the mass reader. In this volume, rarity texts of 1928 are published - a manual for students of the Pedagogical Faculty of the 2nd Moscow State University and the stenographic records of lectures read by Vygotsky at the Academy of Communist Education. At this time, the foundations of a scientific theory were laid, which will become known as "Cultural and Historical Psychology" and will bring world fame to its creator.
The book is addressed to psychologists, teachers, as well as a wide circle of readers interested in human development problems
