A significant characteristic of the demographic situation of recent decades is the annual increase in the number of children with disabilities (VIZs) They require special conditions for education, social adaptation and education. The general task of the family, parents and state institutions (children"s preschool institutions, schools, correctional and rehabilitation centers) - to adapt the child with disabilities to independent life as best as possible. Its solution requires all participants in the educational and educational processes of coordinated efforts, including in the direction of helping parents in the study of information of a medical and psychological and pedagogical nature. This makes the educational component of psychological assistance to parents of children with important and in demand, which, in turn, determines the relevance of the analysis of these scientific research available to the present time, given in the monograph.
The experience of advisory work with families shows that for parents of children with disabilities, it is very important not only to get acquainted with the peculiarities of raising a child with disabilities, but also psychological assistance in improving the general level of pedagogical competence in issues such as child-family Conflicts, the quality of intra -family communication, cohesion in the family’s children"s subsystem - among brothers and sisters. In this regard, these aspects of family education are given special attention. Materials confirming their effectiveness in practice are given.
