“Lost Paradise” is Milton’s brilliant poem, thanks to which he became one of the most famous English poets of his time. The poem is based on the biblical plot of the fall of man and his expulsion from paradise. As Milton wrote in the book of the first, his goal was to justify the path of God to people (in the original “Justify the Ways of God to Men”) The poem tells about the temptation of Jesus Christ Satan during his stay in the desert.
“Lost paradise” is presented in the translation of Nikolai Kholodkovsky, and the “returned paradise” is Olga Cheyumina
