Palee is a fabulous colorful whirlwind on ordinary binding items. Through unique art, artists create their "models of the world". The original creativity of each of them contributes a unique tonality into the collective art of Palen.
In the village of Palee, from the XIV century they were engaged in iconography. In December 1924, the Phane artel of ancient painting was organized here. In the lacquer miniature, two branches of national creativity were united: the art of iconography and traditions of folk art. The album presents the works of Palekh artists - Morokin and the dynasties of Smirnovy, Lopatin, Buldakov. Their creativity inherits the imagery and poetics of folk culture. They create an amazing world on ordinary household items: boxes, glasses, panders, panels, etc. The magic created by their work is that the fairy tale in them exists as a reality, and the reality is painted with a fabulous fantasy
