Emperor Alexander I, which, in 1825, a journey through the Crimea in 1825 was conquered by the beauty and pristine wildness of the nature of the Oreand. Soon he acquired the Loweroreandan lands, on which Nicholas I built the first in the southern shore of the Tsarist Palace for a summer holiday. After 30 years, the palace burned down. Its then owner the Grand Duke Konstantin Nikolayevich from the remaining stones left after a frying the temple of the Intercession of the Most Holy Virgin. Today, this architectural and historical monument, the decoration of Big Yalta, is the parish temple.
