The second volume of "own notes" N. N. Muravyov-Karsky covers the time period from 1816 to 1820. The author describes in detail his service in the Caucasus, staying in the Russian Embassy under the leadership of General A.P. Ermolov in Persia, then the diplomatic mission to the Khivinsky khan and successful return to the Caucasus, a report on the progress of the embassy in the Khiva Khan, headed by N. Muravyov. Khiva Emperor Alexander I and much more.
The material of diary notes is replete with a large number of rare ethnographic material by the beginning of the century before last, as well as many curious domestic sketches of the details of the military and diplomatic service of N. N. Muravyov.
