The “own notes” of the Russian military leader Nikolai Nikolaevich Muravyov (1794–1866) is a unique historical source in terms of volume and breadth of the described events. This edition publishes their first part dedicated to the time when the author was an officer of his Majesty’s retinue in the Prosemaster part participated in the main battles of the Patriotic War of 1812 and the foreign campaigns of the Russian army of 1813–1814.
