Overcoming

The collection includes the poem of Catherine Zadirko, the winner of the All-Russian poetic competition "Music of Words", organized by the Labyrinth online store with the support of the Literary Institute named after A. M. Gorky.

Author about myself:
I was born and live in Moscow all my life, which largely determined my poetic world. This city inspires me to talk about the course of time, dreams, about life and death.
My teachers and landmarks among predecessors are, first of all, Block, Mandelshtam and Tsvetaeva, but the range of names and texts that make up my reader"s biography and important for me, as for the poet, quite wide and eclectic, includes Obaruts and Lianozovtsev, Joseph Brodsky and Sergey Gandalovsky, Odysseasa Elitis and Tumas Transremer, Fields of Eloara and Federico Garcí Lorca, English and American Verlibr, Chinese and Japanese poetry related to the traditions of Buddhism.
By education I am a philologist, therefore literature for me is not only a private matter, a solitary communication with the word or, it is better to say, the upcoming of him, but also a field of professional activity, but in it I am rather a prose researcher than poetry.
I am writing in Russian, in English and in Spanish, and in addition, from time to time I translate from English (among your favorite authors American poetess Mary Oliver and Patrick Pierce)
