The educational and methodological set for 8th grade geography (author - O.V. Krylova) includes outline maps with practical exercises and a collection of tasks for working with a geography atlas for 8th grade. The set is developed in accordance with the "Concept of the Development of Geographic Education in the Russian Federation" and aims to form knowledge about the geographical, natural, cultural, ethnographic, and socio-economic diversity of Russia. Numerous and diverse tasks presented in the "Collection of Tasks" and on the outline maps contribute to the formation of students' geographical culture, expand their geographical knowledge about their homeland and their "small Motherland." The proposed tasks will help students acquire universal educational actions in accordance with the requirements of the Federal State Educational Standards (FGOS). The proposed set is suitable for all school programs and textbooks on geography, meets the requirements of the FGOS, and is approved by methodologists. Russia on the maps is presented in new borders: with the Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics, Zaporizhzhia and Kherson Oblasts, the Republic of Crimea, and Sevastopol.
