The book of the famous Russian writer, Hero of the Soviet Union Vladimir Karpov (1922-2010), is devoted to the history of Peredelkin, in which, in different years, outstanding Soviet writers lived. In very personal memories, V. Karpov shares his impressions of his meetings with such outstanding writers as M. Shaginyan, B. Pasternak, L. Leonov, K. Paustovsky, V. Astafyev, E. Yevtushenko, B. Okudzhava. The book is published by the 95th anniversary of the author’s birth
