The book proposed to the attention of the reader is an outline of the grammar and vocabulary of modern Hebrew --- the official language of the state of Israel.
Modern Hebrew --- a fictional language typologically close to other Semitic languages, however, the Jewish language system has been transformed under the influence of Indo-European languages, which is manifested in the tendency to analytism in syntactic constructions, in the simplification of the phonological system. The author talks about the formation and development of modern Hebrew, gives a brief description of the history of its study. The book describes the phonological system and the pronunciation norm, and a characteristic of the grammatical system is given in sufficient detail (within the framework of the volume of essay) The book is completed by applications containing texts of texts and a dictionary for them.
It is recommended for semitologists and hebraists, philologists of other specialties, language historians, sociologists, as well as everyone who is interested in research in the field of modern Hebrew
