"In the laboratory of the editor" is one of the three most important books devoted to the purity and wealth of the Russian language (two others: "Living and Dead Word" Nora Gal and "High Art"ornei Chukovsky) In her book, Lidia Chukovskaya shares his experience in the legendary version Detgiza, recalls the great modern writers, talks about the principles of creating and designing the text, about editorial censorship, widespread in Soviet times.
