The memoirs of the poet, philosopher, theologian of Hippolytus Andreevich Gofstetter (1862-1950) about Grigory Efimovich Rasputin were found in Thessaloniki only after the death of the author and remained unrelated to this day. Famous in pre -revolutionary Russia and as a journalist, Hofstetter was considered among his contemporaries a close friend of Rasputin, who had lived in the country of Hoffsteter"s family for several years near Petrograd. Written almost 80 years ago, memories have not lost their relevance today. This is a certificate of not only a person who was closely communicating with a mysterious Siberian elder, but an eyewitness and a direct participant in the events that led to the 1917 revolution.
