This book is dedicated to the period of repressions of the second half of the 30s of the XX century - “Big Terror”. It is known that more than half of the affairs instituted during this period was later exposed and canceled. This is due to numerous identified violations of the rule of law and abuse, frank falsifications admitted during the investigation. The author of the book attempted to highlight a set of motives and goals pursued by state repressive bodies when initiating a particular category of criminal cases in 1937-1938.
