Osteopathy

Osteopathy today is a new specialty in higher medical education, the most dynamically developing field of modern medicine, based on the principles of holism, anatomy, biomechanics, and the palpation skills of a physician. This textbook is intended for studying the basics of osteopathy as a synthesis of science, philosophy, and art. The materials of the textbook cover three main sections of osteopathy in chronological order: structural, cranial, and visceral. The basic anatomical and physiological information, diagnostic and therapeutic techniques are outlined. The basic methodology of osteopathic diagnosis and treatment is provided. Special attention is given to the main tool of an osteopath - palpation. Original illustrations and diagrams are designed to enhance the effectiveness of understanding the theoretical material. The content of the textbook fully corresponds to the professional training program in the specialty of Osteopathy. The textbook is intended for students of osteopathy departments and osteopathic physicians.
