In 1978, the book of the American researcher of the Palestinian origin of Edward Side Orientalism, the main thesis, which is that academic orientalism, in addition to its scientific function, has long served the interests of imperialism, submitting a solid theoretical base for the justification of expansionist policies held by Western Superproavions in the Middle East and in the Asia-Pacific region and inspiratory fear of strangers, which must be aggressive enemies once and for all of the established world order. The exit of this collection suggests that the study of the consequences of orientalism continues not only in the third world countries and the former colonial metropolises, but also in Russia.
