In the monograph, an attempt was made by systemic analysis of the organizational principles and structures, the main powers and functions of the Customs Service of the Russian Federation. Much attention is paid to identifying the place, roles and importance of customs authorities in the system of government bodies of the Russian Federation. The main milestones and factors of the formation and evolution of the customs service in Russia, starting from the period of ancient Russia to the present day, are revealed. The central place in the monograph occupies a study of the regulatory framework for the activities of customs authorities.
