Georgy Litichevsky - Russian artist, critic, historian and theorist of contemporary art, member of the editorial board of the magazine "Art magazine". Member of numerous exhibitions in Russia and abroad. His works are in the collections of the State Tretyakov Gallery (Moscow), the center of George Pompidou (Paris), the Museum of Contemporary Art Kiasma (Helsinki), as well as in private collections of Russia, Belgium, Switzerland, Italy, France, Germany, the United Kingdom, USA.
The book includes comicsms of different years, interview with the artist and articles about his work.
His art is about modern society and for him. It does not have a shadow of the arrogant contempt of the "artist" to mass tastes, no mentor tone, no enchanting in front of the crowd. It is imbued with the joy of a man who learned to speak in clear language with his contemporaries, talking about general hobbies, fears and dreams.
Andrei Erofeev, art historian
Fragment of a dictionary of contemporary art edited by Max Fray:
I would not have written at all about comics, whenever the desire to mention the only thing, perhaps, the modern Russian artist, for many years we have consistently developing this genre. Of course, about Georgia Litichevsky, who at one time managed to make a comic of the full part of the artistic language of the eighties.
Max Fry, writer
