The directory is written using the Federal clinical recommendations of the Association of Ophthalmologists and the national ophthalmology guidelines. Diseases are presented in sections in a convenient tabular form with a uniform and concise presentation of the material: indicating the code of the International Classification of Diseases 10th revision (in brackets), etiology, clinical picture, diagnostics, drug therapy, and modern methods of surgical treatment of eye pathology. Algorithms for studying visual functions, basic and additional methods of studying the organ of vision are included in the directory. Local (topical) drug therapy of eye diseases is detailed with descriptions of pharmacological groups of drugs, non-proprietary and trade names of medicinal products, methods of administration, doses, side effects, and drug interactions. Special attention is paid to issues of urgent ophthalmological pathology, eye injuries and burns, principles of providing urgent and planned high-tech specialized care. The publication is intended for ophthalmologists, clinical residents, general practitioners, and neurologists.
