In the book of Sergey Kolubasyev, the writer, the poet, the sea officer, the connoisseur and propaganda of jazz, a talented inventor and a radio amateur, included a famous trilogy, consisting of the leaders written in the 1930s: Arsen Lupin "," Djigit "and" River ". In the main hero of the trilogy, Vasilya Bakhmetyev, the Gardenaarina of the last release of the sea cadet corps, the features of the author are guessed. Since 1918, S. Kolubasiv serves on the Northern Fleet, then on the Baltic, Black, Azov and Caspian seas. He participates in battles, commands the trashman and division of the destroyer. The turning point in his fate becomes a meeting in 1921 in Sevastopol with the poet Nikolai Gumilev, who soon introduces it to the circle of creative intelligentsia Petrograd. Along with the writers N. Nichonov and K.vatinov, Kolubasiv enters the Literary Group "Ostrovity" and later produces the poem "Ottered Sea", who gave the name to this collection. In 1937, Sergey Kolbasyev was illegally repressed. Rehabilitation had to wait until 1956. On May 30, 2007 at the house number 12 on Mokhovoy Street, where the writer lived from 1928 to 1937, a memorial plaque was installed
