Aleksandr Isayevich Solzhenitsyn (1918-2008) was a Russian writer, Nobel Prize laureate (1970), and recipient of the State Prize of the Russian Federation for outstanding achievements in the field of humanitarian activities (2006). His entire work is permeated with pain and great faith in the preservation of the human soul. The book includes his iconic stories from the 1960s, such as "One Day in the Life of Ivan Denisovich," "Matryona's House," "The Right Hand," "Zakhar-Kalita," "An Incident at Krechetovka Station," and miniatures called "Tiny Things" (1958-1963), as named by the author himself.
