We are glad to present you this small, but very valuable book containing the answer to the most accomplishment of every person the question: "What is the meaning of my life, what do I live in this world?" It is especially valuable that the answer to this question gives not just a philosopher, or a wise person, and that person about the loyalty of the words of whom his life itself speaks. Moreover, the reverend Seraphim, speaking with Nikolai Motovilov in the conversation itself argues that such a secretly opened the mystery is predetermined to be open "for the whole world": Not for you, you can do it, and through you for the whole world. Gemsticks recorded this conversation were found by S.A. Nilus in the papers of Spouse Motovilova. We got through the niece of Nilus Elena Yuryevna Kontsevich.
Until 1917, several editions of this conversation were released, from which all the foreign reprints were reprinted. But on the eve of the revolution S.A. Nilus, finally examined the manuscript, issued the definitive text of 1917, which was published by our Brotherhood of "Rev. German Alaskan" in 1968 and reissued in the magazine of the Russian pilgrim. We publish this text unchanged with Preface S.A. Nilus.
It is recommended for publication by the Publishing Council of the Russian Orthodox Church
