The book of Hans Gunter examines the work of the outstanding Russian writer Andrei Platonov (1899-1951) The material of the entire corps of the works of Platonov considers the transformation of his worldview, special attention is paid to Platonov’s place in the world tradition of utopian thinking and the genre of utopia and anti -utopia. The connections and roll calls of the prose writer with his predecessors are traced - from medieval mystics to F. Dostoevsky, N. Fedorov and other Russian philosophers. At the same time, the writer"s work is analyzed in the context of modern culture. The book summarizes the results of the numerous previous works of H. Gunter about the work and worldview of A.
