Oltarzhevsky

Architect Vyacheslav Konstantinovich Oltarzhevsky - a man of an interesting fate, who managed not to lose the fate of the talent for him even in the most difficult circumstances. In 1935-1938, Oltarzhevsky was the chief architect of the All-Union Agricultural Exhibition, the creator of all the well-known appearance of the VDNH-VVC. Becoming the victim of unreasonable repression, he managed to survive and return to creative activity, playing a larger role in the construction of high-rise buildings in Moscow, first of all the hotel "Ukraine" - for this project he was awarded the Stalinist Prize.
