Seven-year-old Nadya, a spoiled girl from a wealthy family, got bored of toys - she had too many of them! But when her new friend Olya took matters into her own hands, playing with dolls became a joy for Nadya. It turned out to be very exciting: sewing new clothes for her "daughters," crafting a dollhouse with furniture and curtains, organizing sleigh rides, masquerade balls, lotteries for the dolls... The story was written by the Russian writer Varvara Andreevskaya (1848-1915). This captivating and touching book gives young readers the opportunity to get acquainted with the way of life and customs of Russia at the end of the 19th and beginning of the 20th century.
