Sofokl is an ancient Greek poet playwright, one of the three great representatives of the ancient tragedy. By the time of life and the nature of creativity, he occupies a place between Eshil and Euripid. The worldview and skill of the Sophokla are marked by the desire for the equilibrium of the new and old: the Slavs of the Power of the Free Human, the playwright warned against the violation of the "divine laws", complicating the psychological characteristics, maintained the overall monumentality of images and compositions. In this edition, the readers are offered the most famous tragedies of Sofokla, which became a classic example of the genre: "Edip-Tsar", "Oedip in Colon" and "Antigone", "Ayant" and "Electra"
