Oblomov (1859) is the central part of the trilogy of I. A. Goncharov. The writer was convinced of the semantic unity of the three novels that were not connected by plot. “Ordinary History” (1846) - about the predetermination of the life of an average decent person: a beautiful stupid youth is replaced by sober maturity, and it is faded old age. “Cliff” (1869)-that people of a large soul always had difficult trials, but still we need to live. “Oblomov” is a book about a pure, kind, intended love, a rarely smart person who understood on a young man: it is impossible to live according to the laws of “ordinary history” and “cliff”. And he lay down on the sofa from which neither love, nor friendship, nor clear consciousness of his own wrong, nor gratitude to an unsophisticated loving woman could raise him. You can agree to everything - just to preserve inner peace, not to light up, not to become like “others”.
