The book presents an original author's approach to teaching number theory, developed at the 'Second School' Lyceum. It contains both classical material (divisibility and prime numbers, fundamental theorem of arithmetic, theory of congruences) and a discussion of some modern issues in number theory. The authors raise important methodological questions related to teaching mathematics. Additionally, scientific papers written by the school's students are included.
