The book of R. Genon "Notes on Islamic Esoterism and Taoism" is a collection of articles devoted to Sufism and Taoism. The concept of a single spiritual tradition is outlined in various works, here he clarifies his position, shows the frequently found mistakes in the works of other traditionalists, expresses some ideas on which he had not previously staged an emphasis. In particular, the influence of Islamic culture on the European Renaissance, on Western science and philosophy, is shown here. The book "Esotericism of Dante" is also devoted to the same topic, in which a very deep interpretation of the work of a wonderful poet and dedicated is given. Taoism, which is also considered by genen as a metaphysical esoteric doctrine, is socially supplemented by Confucianism, which is the exoteric embodiment of a single tradition. Tradition can have a variety of types of incarnation.
