Nine long months went to the liberation of the Red Army of Poland. 600 thousand Soviet soldiers folded their heads in this country. The difficult price was given the final stage of war. Stanislav Gorsky is one of the ordinary participants of these battles. On his self-propelled SU-76, he passed hundreds of kilometers through Poland. The enemy never retreated without a fight. Lightweight, maneuverable SU-76 has perfectly proven themselves in recent months of war - during urban fighting and persecution of the retreating opponent, actions from ambushes. At the same time, as shown in the book, self-propelled articles very often carried out the problem of direct accompaniment of infantry in battle. With all this, SU-76 coped brilliantly. But maneuverability was achieved at the expense of very weak armor. Samhodiers carried considerable losses, paying their lives for the common cause of victory
