Olga Matich (b. 1940) - Russian American from a family of old emigrants. Her cousin from her mother is a politician and writer Vasily Shulgin, a cousin - artist Elena Kiseleva, her favorite of Repin. Native Grandfather Alexander Bilimovich, one of the first Russian economists using the mathematical method, was a member of the Special Meeting at Denikin. The father, by the “will of chance” at the age of thirteen, fell into the White Army and went abroad with it. "Family Chronicles", the first part of the memories, cover the history of the family (and her loved ones), starting with great -grandfathers. "The will of chance" is one of the leitmotifs of memories, so the second part is called "Random meetings". They are mainly devoted to the relationship of the author with Russian writers - V. Aksenov, B. Akhmadulina, S. Dovlatov, P. Korolenko, E. Limonov, B. Okudzhava, D. Prigov, A. Sinyavsky, S. Sokolov and T. Tolstoy ... O.
