The book consists of two parts. The first part contains literary-philosophical essays, some of which were previously published in collections and journals. These works were mainly created in the 1970s and 1980s. The second part is a collection of previously unpublished essays and fragments of memoirs written in 2010-2021. The genre of lyrical meditation creates a stylistic unity throughout the book. The title "Notes of a Meditator" was given to the book by the author because the texts on which it is based were already designated as such during their writing. A meditator is a person whose inclination towards contemplation of reality and reflections on it may seem or actually be an obstacle to successful practical activities. The book is intended for all those interested in the holistic life contexts of philosophical thought, especially its literary way of existence, as well as for those interested in the generation of "younger sixties", who finished school during the years of Khrushchev's "Thaw".
