Until the October Revolution, the author worked as a lawyer in Moscow. In the First World War-lieutenant of the 2nd grenadier artillery brigade. In August 1918 he joined the Volunteer Army. Then in the USSR he was forced to live according to fake documents, in the name of Lopatin. Since 1923 - Member of the Board of Defenders of the Kuban Region. In 1935 - “cleaned up” and deprived of the opportunity to work as a lawyer. Having worked as a lawyer for 13 years and a few more years by legal adviser, the author saw all the shortcomings of the Soviet court and could compare it with what was before the revolution. Like other contemporaries and today"s researchers, Palibin noted the two most acute problems of the Soviet court of the 1920s? -Mass bribery and politicism, growing and becoming almost ubiquitous in the 1930s
