Lydia Yakovlevna Ginzburg (1902–1990) was an outstanding Russian writer and a well-known literary critic, whose works are studied in universities and are of great interest to all connoisseurs of Russian literature and poetry history. Her work "Notes of a Blockade Person" is one of the valuable testimonies of the borderline experience of a person who found themselves in a besieged city. And this person is a woman in her everyday reality. In the text, the author constantly refers to the opposition of female and male perspectives on what is happening. The second part of the book is occupied by works titled "Prose of the War Years," which include works written in 1942–1945. These works belong to the kind of literature that Ginzburg later called "intermediate literature," as it simultaneously combines both documentary and artistic elements.
