The publication included for the first time published sources of personal origin - notes and letters belonging to Peru of an outstanding representative of the Decembrist movement of Prince Sergey Petrovich Trubetsky. For the publication, materials were selected combined by two names - S.P. Trubetsk and I.N. Tolstoy, brother of the writer, participant of the Decembrist societies, the agent of the Russian government in Paris Ya.N. Tolstoy. S.P. Trubetsky"s closest friend, his comrade in the Life Guard Semenov Regiment, to the Nikolaev reign - Senator, Ivan Nikolaevich Tolstoy was the addressee of previously not known notes of the Decembrist of the Siberian Pore and the letters introduced into the scientific circulation for 1818-1823.
Memoirs and epistolaria of one of the leaders of the Decembrist conspiracy, reflecting the political and cultural and historical context of the era of two reigns - Alexander I and Nikolai I, contain valuable information on the history of the social movement and social thought of the first half of the XIX century, government policy, economically -Economic activities of the nobility, represent undoubted interest both for historical specialists and for a wide range of readers
