The book is devoted to the Employee Yokish entrepreneurial dynasty known in the pre-revolutionary Russia, which has made a significant contribution to the development of the Russian cloth industry and in the business elite of Moscow. The founder of the dynasty - Wilhelm August (Vasily Ivanovich) Yokish arrived in Russia from Prussia. Created by him in 1838. The famous cloth manuff"s "Yokish" (in Soviet times - the Tonkone Factory named after P.alexseeva) was one of the oldest and largest enterprises in the Moscow province. For the first time, the history of this enterprise is traced, family genealogy is given. It is told about Moscow, Moscow region (Ivanteevka, Pavlovsky Posad) and other addresses of representatives of the dynasty, including about the unique noble estate of Mikhalkov, once belonging to the princes Dashkov and Count Panin. The Yokish family was the last owner of the manor and saved this historic and architectural monument from destruction. The workers built by representatives of the dynasty are used so far.
