Elena Mikhailik was born in Odessa, graduated from the philological faculty of OGU. Since 1993, she has been living in Sydney, teaching at the University of New South Wales. Doctor of Philosophy. Poems and articles have been published in the anthology "Liberated Ulysses", the magazines "Arion", "Air", "Children of Ra", "New World", "New Literary Review". Andrei Bely Prize in the category "Humanitarian Research" (2019) for a monograph dedicated to the work of Varlam Shalamov. Author of three books of poetry: "Neither Sleep nor Cloud" (Argo-Risk, 2008), "Expedition" (Literature without Borders, 2019), "The Fish Said 'Yes'" (Cabinet Scientist, 2021).
