When a small fishing camp is hit by cholera, the only salvation for Leif becomes a boat and the open sea. Leif sails north, from one bay to another, avoiding one danger, only to encounter another. Leif is not sure where to sail, but he must survive. The longer Leif is on the journey, the more he is filled with his unexpected wandering, the closer he gets to his true self, merging with the heartbeat of the ocean, the pulse of the sea.
