At noon on August 25, 1968, eight people went to Red Square to protest against the invasion of Soviet troops in Czechoslovakia. The protest did not have any practical meaning, the participants of the action were in prisons and a psychiatric hospital, but the demonstration became a symbol of moral resistance to the totalitarian regime. The book of one of the participants in the demonstration, poet and translator Natalia Gorbanevskaya is devoted to the stories and consequences of the most famous anti -Soviet performance
