A literary-patent review of non-destructive testing methods has been conducted. The types of non-destructive testing have been classified, and their advantages and disadvantages have been identified. The physical principles of operation of acoustic non-destructive testing methods, specifically ultrasonic testing (UT), have been examined. Ultrasonic testing methods have been considered. Guidelines for conducting non-destructive testing have been developed using the example of the defectoscope UD2-102 "PELENG," including requirements for the objects being tested, testing equipment, and work organization.
