Osip Mandelstam (1891–1938) is one of the key figures of Russian culture of the 20th century, its very special and original poetic voice. “In the craft of verbal, I appreciate only wild meat, only crazy growth,” so Mandelstam determined the peculiarity of his autobiographical prose, where he deliberately breaks the classic form of the narrative, because under the pressure of the external events of the fate of individual people, as it were, are pushed into the background. Mandelstam"s prose with its aphoristic, concise, dense language cloth is, first of all, "noise of time", not the annals, but an oratorio of the era
