The name of the Archimandrite of Serapion (Mashkina) became widely known thanks to P. A. Florensky publications in 1906-1917. In his own works, the priest Paul Florensky has repeatedly referred to the ideas of Archimandrite Serapion, giving some of them particular importance. But it was not possible to prepare a huge text of Mashkina Florensky for publication and places. He was not fulfilled and his idea to write a monograph on the life and writings of Archimandrite Serapion. This edition uses those materials that Florensky managed to collect for the biographic part of the alleged monograph, and for the first time a review of the main essay of the Archimandrite of Serapion (Mashkina) "system of philosophy.
