The editor and compiler, as well as the author of the comments, Yu. A. Alexandrovsky, is a doctor of medical sciences, professor, corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, distinguished scientist of the Russian Federation, and a laureate of the State Prize of the USSR.
The three-volume collection includes over 300 newspaper and journal publications, mainly from central Soviet and Russian publications of the second half of the last century and the beginning of the new century, dedicated to issues of public life in the country and the world, as well as events that interested the compiler as a doctor and a scientific worker.
These publications reflect the "spirit of the times" of those years and its changes that occurred over several decades. Each article is accompanied by a brief comment from the compiler of a historical and sometimes memoir nature. A look at the recent past often helps in solving specific contemporary issues.
Volume III is composed of newspaper and journal publications from the 1990s and the beginning of the 21st century, with publications from the year 2020 concluding it.
This collection is intended for readers interested in modern Russian history. The anthology can be used as a reader, including many hard-to-access publications from past years.
