The book of the famous Soviet and Russian writer Andrei Alekseevich Molchanov (born in 1953) includes works published in the USSR with a total circulation of 16 million copies. The novel "New Year in October" conquered readers with the courage of the author who discovered the character of the protagonist, young scientist Alexei Proshin, who rejected all the "communist" values inside, but externally used them for his own purposes. According to this novel, in 1990, the film “Man from the Black "Volga”, director Nikolai Lukyanov, in the main roles: Yuri Demich, Lyudmila Nikolaev, Nikolai Gravshin was shot. The story “Crossroads for the Three” is the first in the history of the country according to which the Decree of the CPSU Central Committee “on strengthening the ideological work of party bodies with writers” was adopted. It honestly and directly tells about the time of "stagnation", about life and aspirations already in all the assigned Soviet youth
