Guidelines for neurosurgery is the result of the work of the Department of Neurosurgery of the Russian Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education.
Nowadays, neurosurgery is constantly changing and upgrading discipline. Young neurosurgeons who wish to become high-class specialists, in their everyday work can use the experience of the authors of this manual in addition to learning in the clinic, viewing operational interventions recorded directly from the microscope, practical courses, all sorts of training seminars.
The manual consists of two volumes. In the first volume, the main problems of neurosurgery are highlighted in detail. A special emphasis was made on a clinical picture, diagnosis and innovative methods for the treatment of vascular diseases of the brain, intracranial tumors and cranial injuries. Modern recommendations and algorithms for the treatment of patients with intracranial hypertension syndrome at various neurosurgical states are given. A separate chapter is devoted to ultrasound methods for diagnosing intracranial pathology.
