The book includes a description of all the main technologies and protocols used in modern telecommunication networks. The main attention is paid to the most common TCP/IP protocol stack to date, on which modern and promising telecommunications networks are based. The study of the material presented in the manual will allow students to master the basic principles of information exchange in the networks, the logical foundations of the functioning of the channel devices (switches) and network (routers) levels, the work of the main telecommunication protocols, as well as some techniques for configuration of networks. The knowledge gained will make it possible to form a holistic picture of information interaction in modern networks, which is the foundation of the other disciplines of the professional cycle of the curriculum of these areas of training, and can also be used in the future professional activities of the graduate related to network technologies.
